Aldar Education Welcomes Hundreds Of New Staff Ahead Of The New School Year

More than 650 newly appointed teachers hired to work within Aldar Education’s expanding educational network have been welcomed at an induction event ahead of the new school year.

The teachers – who will collectively work across 18 schools in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain – were hired following an international recruitment drive as Aldar Education continues its expansion within the private education sector and the ground-breaking growth of charter schools in the Emirate.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Aldar Education, received the new recruits during a ‘Welcome Home’ orientation and induction event at Abu Dhabi’s iconic Emirates Palace.

“We know that the success of every young person, in whatever they go on to do in life, is shaped by the education they receive at school,” said Al Mubarak. “There are no great schools without great teachers, and we look forward to building our network of educators and showcasing the incredible dedication and hard work we see day in, day out, across the teaching profession within Aldar Education.”

The induction event was designed to engage, inspire, and empower the Emirate’s newest teachers, who will be housed at dedicated accommodation facilities close to the schools where they work.

The event was attended by a number of key leaders from Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Aldar, including Jasem Saleh Busaibe, Aldar Chief Investment Officer and Marjan Faraidooni Expo 2020 Chief Pavilions and Exhibitions Officer.

It was the largest of its kind in the Emirate and saw Aldar Education showcase cutting-edge pedagogy alongside educational technology aimed at enhancing student learning and achievement.

New and returning staff are now preparing for the start of term, when over 21,000 students from over 100 nationalities will step through the doors of Aldar Educations’ institutions, ready to learn.

Sahar Cooper, CEO at Aldar Education, also expressed a warm welcome to all the newly hired teachers ahead of the forthcoming autumn term.

“Whenever I ask people what they remember most from school, they always talk about the teacher who inspired them,” said Cooper. “Every one of us has had an educator who changed our lives. Teachers have the chance to impact hundreds of lives during their career – this is the reward of having chosen this vocation.

Education is the backbone of a nation’s prosperity. It’s what allows a country to hold a competitive edge in the ever-advancing technological world.

That is why we are so excited to be expanding the Aldar Education family further, as we strive to shape the future. Whilst our community of teachers continues to grow, our mission statement always remains the same: we are here to serve, teach and guide our students.

From the choice of curriculum to the support for parents and students, Aldar Education nurtures a love of learning and provides a pathway to realise ambitions. It’s how we develop communities and contribute to the strategic goals of both the emirate of Abu Dhabi and Aldar itself.”

In addition to their academic qualifications and a wealth of experience, the recently recruited teachers were selected for their passion and areas of specialism that will bring something unique to each of the schools in the Aldar Education group.

Cooper added: “We are an internationally respected and reliable education provider with numerous quality schools offering a wide range of curriculum choices which appeal to ambitious and outstanding teachers from around the world.

We received an unprecedented number of applications from educators looking to further expand their careers within Aldar Education, paving the way for exciting times ahead.
