We, the founding partners of Falcon British Nursery had a vision for education in the United Arab Emirates – a school based on strong British benchmarks while being mindful of the context of the land and Emirati culture that surrounds us. We strive to embody the aims of EYFS in Falcon British Nursery – quality and consistency, a secure foundation with stimulating development opportunities and regular assessment, a home/school working partnership and equality of opportunity for all children.
From this strategy came the blueprint that exists today. Falcon British Nursery strives to provide our nursery children with the skills and preparation required to enter the 21st century classroom and life. Our goal is that our nursery schools, buildings and infrastructure and resources reflect our mission, vision and values.
We treat staff with respect and empower them to be part of whole – synergy in process. Through our HR in house and external training we provide staff with self-improvement opportunities to help them grow. We promote from within where possible.
We aim to abide by the law of the UAE and our policies reflect international standards. We are UK accredited and are audited from a health and safety perspective as well as a financial perspective. Our seven-member management board supports our quality assurance and we seek advice from independent assessors as well as our parent representatives in order to improve quality. We take on board feedback from our stakeholders and adjust our yearly school improvement plans accordingly. We are a school that supports the community. We stay open all year round with theme-based clubs and we offer good value for money with multiple timings from early morning drop offs to evening collections. We also support working parents by having an app to get their child’s information in real time.
Our syllabus and teaching provide an enhanced, active learning environment where each child is valued. Small groups work at emergent, expected and exceeding levels to achieve the early learning goals for the seven areas of learning in a fun and theme-based way. We provide many opportunities for parents and children do have fun together with numerous events, visitors and guest speakers every term as well as our famous UAE National Day celebrations held every November, Parent and child movie night spectacular, Family picnic and sports day, Mother’s Day breakfast held every March and our Iftar feast. We aim to be part of the community and to support our planet. Above all, we strive to improve year on year and to never be complacent. We aim for our name Falcon British Nursery to be synonymous with education excellence.
