Musanada revealed that it has completed all summer maintenance activities worth AED29 million in 100 schools across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions, while stating that it was keen on completing the maintenance and rehabilitation works as per the agreed plan to ensure the readiness of schools prior to the commencement of the 2018-2019 academic year.
The company indicated that the summer maintenance activities covered 49 schools in Abu Dhabi at a total cost of AED17.8 million, 24 schools in Al Ain at a total cost of AED5.7 million and 27 schools in Al Dhafra region at a total cost of AED5.5 million.
Musanada noted that the total number of schools covered by periodical maintenance activities numbered 276, which included 123 in Abu Dhabi, 113 in Al Ain city and 40 schools in Al Dhafra region, for a total cost of AED200 million.
The works included periodical maintenance of air conditioning units, electric panels, alarm and firefighting equipment, safety and control equipment and surveillance cameras, besides the periodical maintenance work of swimming pools and bathrooms and all work related to health and safety.
The maintenance works also included replacement of a total of 1,280 defective assets across 122 facilities, including A/C and water units, lighting units, etc. besides carrying out a few projects aimed at reducing consumption of water and electricity, such as replacement of water taps with saving tap nozzles, besides carrying out comprehensive maintenance of toilets.
“To ensure an environment conducive to efficiency that stimulates the students’ desire for learning, Musanada’s Facility Management Division has developed a comprehensive and integrated plan for implementing and actively and closely monitoring the periodical annual and summer maintenance programmes for schools,” stated Eng. Helal Al Blooshi, Musanada’s FM Division Acting Executive Director.
“The execution of this project demonstrates how Musanada is keen on realising the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and implementing the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to provide an exemplary educational environment for students in line with highest international standards to promote upbringing of a knowledgeable and well-educated generation,” he added.
Al Blooshi further added that the annual maintenance works executed by Musanada included a full review of the infrastructure and facilities, highlighting areas where performance decreased or deteriorated, ensuring that the performance is improved again to properly serve the educational process, besides surveying the condition of the facilities and the surrounding fences and the quality of the utilities, A/C and cooling systems, etc.
Musanada’s FM Division completed the finishing works and internal and external painting, besides the painting of school fences and buildings in respect of 70 schools, and installation of false ceilings and LED lighting units.
